With years of experience, our medical team will assess you and create a custom health plan that's right for you. We practice evidence based medicine. We are not big advocates on the use of multiple supplements and we will never try to sell you anything. We firmly believe in the importance of a healthy balanced diet and regular exercise program and will incorporate this into your treatment plan.
Not only will Dr. Strittmatter treat your acute illnesses and chronic conditions, she will also work to maximize your prevention strategies. We firmly believe in preventative medicine including regular screening exams and vaccinations for patients of all ages and we strive to help you improve your quality of life, achieve your wellness goals, and support your best possible life.
Dr. Strittmatter was born and raised in the Texas Hill Country. She attended college and medical school at Texas A&M University. Her internship and residency was done at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas where in her final year she was elected president of the Resident Association by her peers and was named Outstanding Senior Resident by the faculty. She has been in practice in Denton, Texas since 2000.
In her spare time, Dr. Strittmatter enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 children, walking for exercise and working in her vegetable and flower gardens.
HIgh blood pressure if often called the silent killer as many people will not have any symptoms as this disease causes heart disease, strokes, chronic kidney disease and retinal damage. Know your numbers and let us help you manage your disease.
Cholesterol comes from 2 sources: your diet and your genes. You can change your diet. You cannot change your genetics. We will help you identify risk factors that put you at an increased cardiovascular risk and can help manage medications if indicated.
More than 100 million U.S. adults are now living with diabetes according to a 2017 CDC report. We can help you manage type 2 diabetes through medications, diet and exercise.
We have a traditional approach to thyroid management. We believe the TSH test is the best test for monitoring thyroid function. We primarily use T4 medications such as levothyroxine and we will never prescribe thyroid mediation solely for weight loss.

Did you know Medicare will pay for an annual health assessment? This is not to be confused with a "physical," which Medicare does NOT cover. This is an annual screening of preventative items and safety issues and a comprehensive review of medications.
1. Do you file claims for commercial health insurance? In short the answer is no. All visits are payable at the time of service. We have elected to make our billing as simple as possible. We have a single flat fee for office visits whether you have insurance or not. We have reduced our overhead to lower our costs. Our goal is to make healthcare affordable for everyone.
2. Does that mean if I do have health insurance that I cannot see Dr. Strittmatter? Absolutely not. As long as your health plan is not an HMO ( HMO plans dictate whom you can see), then we would be happy to see you. You would just pay for your visit.
3. Can I file my own insurance claim? Yes. We will be happy to provide you with a super bill that YOU can send to your insurance company. However, you must realize, that some plans reimburse at different rates depending on in- network vs out-of-network. We will be out of network with everyone.
4. What if I have a high deductible health plan? If you have a high deductible plan, then we are perfect for you. Regardless of whom you see, you are going to be paying for your visit anyway ( until your deductible is met). We feel we offer a superior product at a reasonable price.
5.What if I need labs or xrays? If you have health insurance, then as long as your orders are sent to an in-network lab or facility, then you can use your insurance.
6. Does Dr. Strittmatter file with traditional Medicare? Yes, however, we are not currently accepting new medicare patients at this time. We would be happy to add you to a wait list.
7. Does Dr. Strittmatter file with Medicare Advantage Plans? No, we do not currently accept any Medicare Advantage plans. We can see you, but you will have to pay for your visit at the time of service.
8. Does Dr. Strittmatter see children? Yes, we see kids ages 13 and up.
Through our secure patient portal you can send Dr. Strittmatter a direct message, schedule appointments, review your medications, and view labs as well as imaging results.
In order to save time and better serve you at your appointment, we request that you print out and complete all necessary forms before you arrive at the office.
