1. Do you file claims for commercial health insurance? In short the answer is no. All visits are payable at the time of service. We have elected to make our billing as simple as possible. We have a single flat fee for office visits whether you have insurance or not. We have reduced our overhead to lower our costs. Our goal is to make healthcare affordable for everyone.
2. Does that mean if I do have health insurance that I cannot see Dr. Strittmatter? Absolutely not. As long as your health plan is not an HMO plan (an HMO plan has assigned providers that you must see in order to get referrals, labs, imaging, etc.) then we would be happy to see you. You would just pay for your visit as a self pay patient.
3. Can I file my own insurance claim? Yes. We will be happy to provide you with a super bill that YOU can send to your insurance company. However, you must realize, that some plans reimburse at different rates depending on in-network vs out-of-network. We will be out of network with everyone.
4. What if I have a high deductible health plan? If you have a high deductible plan, then we are perfect for you. Regardless of whom you see, you are going to be paying for your visit anyway (until your deductible is met). We feel we offer a superior healthcare at reasonable price.
5. What if I need labs or x-rays? If you have health insurance, then as long as your orders are sent to an in-network lab or facility, then you can use your insurance.
6. Does Dr. Strittmatter file with traditional Medicare? Yes and we are accepting new Medicare patients. Call and we can get you scheduled today!
7. Does Dr. Strittmatter file with Medicare Advantage Plans? No, we do not currently accept any Medicare Advantage plans. We can see you as long as the Advantage plan is not an HMO, but you will have to pay for your visit at the time of service.
8. Does Dr. Strittmatter see children? Yes, we see kids ages 13 and up.
Through our secure patient portal you can send Dr. Strittmatter a direct message, schedule appointments, review your medications, and view labs as well as imaging results.
